Paul helped us tremendously when it came to laying a Victorian mosaic pattern in our porch. He was the most competitive price locally which was fortunate as his advice and experience guided us into finishing it off to a higher standard. The room we were changing was a small cloakroom. Paul made the whole process of choosing the tiles very easy with his help and advice which prevented mistakes in our choices as we were able to take samples home. My partner and I purchased a beautiful walk in shower, vanity unit, toilet and some absolutely gorgeous tiles from Paul the owner of this company. Never before when purchasing something so huge (and life changing) and spending so much money have we ever felt so at ease. Paul is a gentleman!! He puts you at ease from the moment you walk into his showroom and will not try to sell you the most expensive item on show but the one that is right for you and your family.

After purchasing the correct fittings we then moved on to tiles, what a selection, and so beautiful, it was so hard to choose, but we decided on some beautiful porcelain tiles with a two panel feature on the shower wall and I have to say the bathroom has been totally transformed from a dated dull room to a room that we are so proud of.

Paul cares, he ensures that everything is delivered when he says it will be delivered. He contacts you throughout the project to make sure you are happy with the work, and should anything go wrong (which it didn’t) we are convinced he would move heaven and earth to ensure it was put right to your satisfaction, he doesn’t just sell it to you he wants you to be happy and satisfied!!

The two brilliant fitters whom we cannot praise enough, as nothing is too much trouble for them, they have completed the best tiling we have ever seen and unlike a lot of workers today actually care about their job and worked from 8am to 8pm to ensure that the project was completed to the timescale that they set at the beginning.

If asked to score both Paul and his fitters we would have no hesitation in giving both 100%.

Just had a second room tiled and this time we opted for Paul’s own tiler Alan. I am notoriously the fussiest customer on the block, especially when it comes to tiles. But after trailing EVERY tile shop in Newcastle and around a friend told me about Wall and Floor Tiles. As soon as we went in the showroom i could tell that the tiles were far superior quality than anything we had looked at. Initially we saw Roy, who was really helpful and knew his stuff about the products he was selling (not one of the other tile shops had bothered to educate their staff on the products). However due to my super fussy nature i found my decor tile but not the others at Newcastle. Roy told me about the Washington branch so we got in the car and drove over. There is literally hundreds of tiles between the two shops and Paul spent over an hour with me deciding which tiles to go for and making alternate suggestions once he had the idea of what i wanted. This tile shop have such an extensive range i know that i could easily do a budget bathroom or something very top end without ever going elsewhere. Paul even recommended their tiler Alan who is an amazing tiler and has gone above and beyond at every opportunity, making sure that we were happy every step of the way. After several visits to Paul’s showroom to get ideas for our bathroom and also visiting other bathroom fitters/suppliers for over 2 years – yes we are that fussy – we felt Wall and Floors Tiles were the best to do our bathroom. We went to this company for a complete revamp of our bathroom as we were so pleased with the work they had done in our Kitchen. Despite initial reservations as to whether a modern look would work in a Victorian house, I was guided by Paul and now that the work is complete I could not be happier. We bought a house in October last year and needed tiles for the kitchen/hallway. Paul-owner- was great. We got to take a sample home, which made a huge difference and the choice was fab. Direct delivery organised too(but we did have a lot of tiles being delivered- 3 pallets worth). Great advice and fantastic customer service. alan(tiler)- recommended by Paul, then spent 1 week in a freezing cold house and the result is great. Just about to refurb the bathroom and going back to the shop in Washington to choose our tiles….as simple as that!

Firstly, it took us a while of researching who was to do both of our bathrooms so turned to Facebook to ask if anyone knew of any trustworthy Bathroom fitters as did not want to be a victim of shoddy workmanship. I did receive a response from a guy recommending Kristian Lloyd (Plumbing Engineer) whom i contacted and received a call back very quickly followed by a visit to our house from him. From that moment on we were sold by his simple approach as to how the process runs which starts initially with Wall and Floor Tiles from Washington headed up by Paul the owner. Paul’s knowledge and experience is of paramount importance as he has come across every possible situation from what to choose, what matches what etc etc.
I personally steer well clear of pressure sales and one can be assured there is no sign of this whatsoever.
The Supply of all equipment from Tiles to taps is arranged with Paul and the work in the home is carried out by Kristian (Plumbing) and Dave (Tiler) Great guys who can be trusted massively. They had the key to out house for around 2 weeks so we went about our business whilst they simply got the job done.
I cannot stress who trustworthy these guys are and the quality of the finished job is something special for sure. We were delighted and in addition anyone is sees the job are wowed. Whats not to like……….

We had looked for tiles at various places and finally found the ones we wanted at Wall & Floor tiles in Washington. Paul and the rest of the staff there were great. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable who offered advice on what we would but more importantly wouldn’t need. Paul and the team researched and found a solution for a potentially difficult issue we had around lino flooring and followed up with us to ensure that the solution they found would meet our needs.
They delivered and unloaded the tiles when they said they would and explained what everything was and what it would be needed for.
The tiler they recommended (Paul Harris) was great as well. Clean, punctual and a first class tiler – absolutely someone i would recommend to anyone wanting tiling done.

We had previously brought tiles some years ago from Wall & Floor Tile Ltd, so when we decided to update our bathroom we looked around various tile suppliers then went to Paul’s showroom where we received all the help and advice we could have wished for, his attention to every detail was well appreciated. Replaced our en-suite toilet an shower, which was more like a small cupboard.
